Terms  ·  Of use

Terms, in plain language.

Last updated  ·  October 12, 2026

Most Terms of Use are written by lawyers in language built to obscure who's actually accountable. This one isn't. Rhythmos is a one-person operation. These are the rules of the road for using this site and the waitlist that lives on it — written so a human can read them.

1. Scope

These Terms cover your use of the Rhythmos website (this domain) and the email waitlist that lives on it. They don't cover the Rhythmos mobile app. The app will have its own terms before its public release. If you're here just to read about Rhythmos, you're a visitor and the only thing that really applies is the limits-of-use section. If you join the waitlist, the rest of these terms become relevant.

2. What we collect

In short: your email, plus a small amount of technical metadata used to defend the form against spam. The full picture — what we store, who sees it, how long we keep it — lives in the privacy policy. We don't restate it here so there's only one source of truth. See our privacy policy for the complete list.

3. No warranty

Rhythmos is provided as-is. I'm a solo developer with ADHD and Autism, building this site and the app it represents largely on my own time. I do my best, but I can't promise 24/7 uptime, that the site will always be reachable, that emails will always arrive instantly, or that nothing will ever break. If something does break, I'll fix it as soon as I can. That's the level of warranty on offer — best-effort, in good faith, no guarantees.

4. Limits of use

A few things you shouldn't do here:

  • Don't try to break the site or the form. Pen-testing without permission isn't welcome; if you've found a real security issue, email me directly.
  • Don't scrape the site or the waitlist. There's nothing to scrape that you can't see by visiting normally.
  • Don't sign other people up to the waitlist. Use your own email, not your friend's, your ex's, or a competitor's. (We use double opt-in partly so this is harmless when it happens, but please don't make us rely on it.)
  • Don't submit the form via automation. We have spam defenses; please don't make us tune them tighter for everyone else.

5. Termination, your control

You can leave the waitlist anytime. Email support@getrhythmos.com and we'll delete your row. We can also remove someone from the list if they're abusing the form (see Limits of use), though that's never happened and we hope it stays that way.

6. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change affects what we do with your email, we'll email you before it takes effect. We won't sneak edits past you.

7. Contact

For anything terms-related, security reports, or just to say hi: support@getrhythmos.com.

8. Governing law

If we have a dispute, we'll try to work it out informally first — email us, give us a chance to make it right. If that doesn't get us anywhere, the courts of the State of Idaho, USA will have jurisdiction. We'd rather it never come to that, and for a free email waitlist it's hard to imagine it would.

These terms are written in plain language because we believe you should actually be able to understand what you're agreeing to.
